STEM Ambassadors

Our STEM Ambassador programme is a leadership opportunity for Year 13 and 14 students. You will receive training in school, supported by STEM Hub NI and STEM Learning, to become a STEM Ambassador to support STEM projects both in Ballyclare High and in our partner primary schools.

Benefits of taking part:

-You will receive excellent training and be appointed as a junior STEM ambassador – great for UCAS applications and university interviews

– You will develop as a leader in your role as a STEM ambassador

– You will gain experience working with primary school aged children

– It will develop your creativity in science as you work with others to develop projects

What sort of activities will you do?

Every year is different! But recently our STEM Ambassadors have worked with individual primary school classes from P1-P7, helped with STEM clubs and lego clubs, delivered Easter and Christmas themed science workshops, organised competitions and special events in our school, supported younger pupils in a mentoring role and worked with other science teachers to support school events and activities.
