School Council

Embedded within the ethos of our school is that we encourage pupil participation to help our young people engage within their school and community and to empower them to be valuable members of society. Our School Council provides opportunity for this and uses the democratic process to represent our pupil body as a whole

Through the School Council our pupil body has a voice via three main councils,

The Junior Concilium is the elected representatives from Years 8, 9 and 10.

The Middle Curiate is the elected representatives from Years 11 and 12.

The Senior Senate is the elected representatives from Years 13 and 14.

Each council has an elected Chairperson and Secretary with a vice-Chairperson and vice-Secretary to support in leadership. Our office bearers are expected to set agendas, chair and minute meetings and liaise with our school’s senior leadership team; allowing them to develop their own leadership skills as well as trying to reflect the interests of the wider school community.
