Another fantastic performance in the books for our riders! Here are this week’s results:
💫 85cm Team:
A huge congratulations to Holly, Eve, Penny, and Annie. The team put in a brilliant effort, putting on the heat as the fastest 4-fault team to secure an incredible 2nd place finish.
💫 1m Individual:
Shoutout to Eve, who rode a flawless clear round (0 faults) to claim a fantastic 5th place overall.
💫 League Update:
There are just 2 weeks left of the league, with the best 4 scores in each competition going towards the final league placings. It’s all to play for!

Our Year 10 historians enjoyed a fascinating insight into the history of football during the First World War, learning about the footballers who fought at the Somme and the origins of Ballyclare Comrades FC ⚽️
Founded after the war, the club had strong links to C Company of the 12th Royal Irish Rifles and the East Antrim Unit, many of whose members had fought at the Somme.
A huge thank you to Rhys for sharing this fascinating piece of local history!

Our Year 10 pupils have been putting their learning into practice by formulating their very own isotonic sports drinks in Home Economics!🥤
By balancing electrolytes, simple carbohydrates and flavours, they explored the science behind hydration and sports performance while developing their understanding of sports nutrition.
We may have some future sports nutritionists in the making! 👏

Miss Goudie’s Year 9 English class put their creativity and crafting skills to the test today as they explored the legendary world of Arthur: High King of Britain by Michael Morpurgo 👑
After studying the novel, pupils took part in an origami activity to create their very own versions of Excalibur before decorating and naming their swords.
It was fantastic to see so much imagination on display as pupils reflected on King Arthur’s story while bringing a famous symbol of the legend to life. Well done to everyone for their creativity and enthusiasm! 🏰📚⚔️

🔬STEM Club is off to a flying start! 🚁
Our enthusiastic group of young scientists having been getting stuck into hands-on challenges alongside our STEM Ambassadors.
So far, they have been designing, building and testing helicopters to investigate which design falls most slowly, as well as using chromatography to explore the different colourings found in sweets and food dyes 🍬
This is STEM in action - asking questions, testing ideas, solving problems and learning through discovery💡
We can’t wait to see what our young scientists get up to next!
