Models of specialised plant and animal cells created by Year 8
Biology in Year 8 and Year 9 is taught as part of junior science lessons.
Topics in Year 8 include:
- What are we made of?
- How did we get here?
- Species at War
Pupils will also have the opportunity to take part in an end-of-year project making use of the skills they have learned throughout the year, as well as various competitions and extra-curricular activities.
In Year 9 pupils study the topics:
- Alive and Kicking
- Going for Gold
- Are we what we eat?
The content of these junior science lessons aim to inspire pupils and prepare a foundation for further studies at GCSE and A Level.
