Key Stage 3 Geography

All pupils study Geography in Years 8-10. There is an emphasis on variety, including human, physical and environmental Geography topics. Geographers are valued by employers for the many skills which they offer, including transferable skills like team work and problem-solving as well as thinking skills and personal capabilities highlighted in the NI Curriculum and subject-specific skills such as Ordnance Survey map skills. The cross curricular themes of the NI Curriculum, including employability and citizenship are also built into schemes of work. There is a strong commitment to fieldwork in the belief that pupils learn Geography best through the soles of their boots!
