Parents
The role of parents in the happy and successful experience of children at school is central. It is the firm practice and belief of Ballyclare High School that open and regular communication between parents and teachers is the best basis for a child’s progress.
This co-operation between home and school has, historically, taken many forms: regular consultations are scheduled to notify parents of their child’s progress, appointments are arranged to discuss important aspects of a child’s development and form tutors regularly send information to parents to make them aware of what is happening in the wider school community.
Increasingly, modern technologies are being employed to streamline this flow of information as email and text messaging services are being used to close the gap between home and school in seeking to meet the best interests of the child.
