Diamond Anniversary Tour

As part of his UK-wide Diamond Anniversary Tour, HRH The Earl of Wessex joined us in 2016 to celebrate the long-standing success of the DofE scheme in Ballyclare High. As a Trustee and a Gold Award holder, Prince Edward has championed the DofE for many years, and he was certainly impressed as he met with about 150 of our pupils involved in different levels of the Award, and those who were taking on a DofE-inspired Diamond Challenge. In a visit that was memorable and celebratory, pupils and staff were made to feel at ease, and could see how much the Award is cherished by Prince Edward as a way of helping young people gain valuable life experience, while developing essential employability skills.
