Equipment

 

Tents and stoves for expeditions will be provided by school but participants will be expected to have the following personal equipment:

 

 

• rucksack
• rucksack liners (dry bags)
• waterproofs (trousers and coat)
• sleeping bag
• sleeping mat
• boots (cleaned and waxed)
• hat & gloves
• spare clothing (tracksuit trousers, shirt, fleece and socks)
• KFS (knife, fork and spoon)
• bowl and mug
• water bottle
• torch
• sun cream
• emergency rations
• whistle
• pencil and paper
• sterilizing tablets

 

A group will need to have the following:

 

• tent(s)
• stove(s), fuel and matches
• first aid kit
• toilet roll/wipes
• trowel
• maps
• compasses
• route cards
• food (and any necessary instructions)
