Virtual Writers’ Workshop with Ballyclare Primary School Pupils
By Ballyclare High School on 5 May, 2021
Budding P7 authors from Ballyclare Primary School and Year 9 writers from Ballyclare High School enjoyed a fun-filled writing workshop last week, hosted by Fighting Words Northern Ireland. The pupils met virtually and thoroughly enjoyed writing the story which they then continued writing individually.
“Lots of the children were on the website last night and were delighted to see their story,” Mrs McIntosh, P7 teacher at Ballyclare Primary School said.
She added: “I even had two boys still working on their stories first thing this morning!”
Year 9 pupils had previously participated in a workshop with Fighting Words Northern Ireland and were keen to repeat the experience again.
The classes are looking forward to visiting Skainos in Belfast, where the writing charity Fighting Words is based, next year. You can check out the story in the link below!
