Ulster Schools’ Badminton League Cup

By Ballyclare High School on 1 March, 2018

The Year 8 boys have developed their game really well since September but were narrowly defeated by RBAI in the semi-final of the Division 1 Ulster Schools’ Badminton League Cup. A closely fought match saw RBAI win 5 games to 1, with two of the games being extremely close with Ballyclare on a 20-21 points score line.

The Junior Boys have again qualified for the semi-final playoffs after defeating Sullivan Upper 4 games to 2; they are now due to face RBAI next week in their semi-final of Division 2 Ulster Schools’ Badminton League Cup.

The Senior Boys have for the second year in a row reached the final of the Division 2 Ulster Schools’ Badminton League Cup, having defeated RBAI in another close fought contest, eventually winning 5 games to 1.

All Ulster Schools’ Badminton League Cup finals will take place next Friday 9th March at the National Badminton Centre, Lisburn.
