Ballyclare High has a tradition of success in athletics and one we are very proud to maintain.

This being the Centenary of the All Ireland Schools’ Athletics Competition Ballyclare High ranks the 8th best  athletics’ school in its’ history.

We have had outstanding athletes through the decades James McIlroy’s Olympic vest which adorns our corridors to Lydia Mills just returning from the Youth Olympics in Samoa.

At present to mark the occasion of being ranked so highly in Irish Schools’ Athletics we are collating a history of athletic prowess in the School since its’ beginnings.
