Remembrance Service

On Friday 10th November our pupils and staff participated in our annual Act of Remembrance.
We gathered to hear the names of past pupils who lost their lives serving in different conflicts from around the world. The Last Post and Reveille was played by Christy Brennan (Year 10), Caitlin Officer and Sam Graham (both Year 11) with great maturity. This was followed by a minute’s silence.
Three wreaths were laid in the front entrance hall as a tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and our Senior Prefects planted crosses and sowed seeds in the school’s poppy garden.
Dr Rainey, the Head Boy and Head Girl completed the weekend’s Remembrance events by laying wreaths on behalf of the school at the cenotaph in the town’s Memorial Park on Sunday morning.
