Remembrance Services

‘Lest we forget’
Pupils and staff in across school took part in Remembrance Services and today we honour those who fell in war, conflict, and peacekeeping.
The names of past pupils who lost their lives serving in different conflicts from around the world resonated in school halls as their voices once did. Services concluded with three wreaths laid in the front entrance hall, a tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and were placed there on behalf of the school’s Scout Troop, the Old Ballyclarians Association and our School Community. Our senior prefects planted crosses and sowed seeds in the school’s poppy garden.
Dr Rainey, the Head Boy and Head Girl will complete the weekend’s remembrance events by laying wreaths on behalf of the school at the cenotaph in the town’s Memorial Park on Sunday morning.
