This week Ballyclare High School is highlighting the theme of ‘Period Dignity’.
Year 8 girls and boys took part in a presentation during LLW on Tuesday morning about Menstruation and Period Dignity. Ballyclare High School fully supports CCEA’s Period Dignity policy, which aims to break down the stigma and taboo around periods. We welcome the opportunity to take part in the project which aims to improve the accessibility and availability of essential care needed to support the menstrual needs of our female pupils, and to help every girl reach their full potential within the school environment. Our girls were made aware that free period products are always available in school whenever they are required, and were each given free samples to take home, with further information about menstruation issues to share with their parents.
