Period Dignity 2024/25

By R Erwin on 9 October, 2024

All of our Year 8 pupils took part in a presentation during LLW this week about Period Dignity. Ballyclare High School fully supports CCEA’s Period Dignity policy, which aims to break down the stigma and taboo around periods. We fully support and welcome the opportunity for boys as well as girls to take part in this project, which aims to educate and inform all pupils, helping them to understand the facts about menstruation in preference to following common myths or misconceptions. We are also striving towards improving the accessibility and availability of essential care needed to support the menstrual needs of our female pupils. It is important to Ballyclare High to help every girl reach their full potential within our school environment. Our girls were also made aware that free period products are always available in school whenever they are required, and were each given some samples.
