Period Dignity

Ballyclare High School fully supports CCEA’s Period Dignity policy, which aims to break down the stigma and taboo around periods. We welcome the opportunity to take part in the project which aims to improve the accessibility and availability of essential care needed to support the menstrual needs of our female pupils, and to help every girl reach their full potential within the school environment. During life skills this week all our Year 8 pupils attended a presentation about Menstruation and Period Dignity.

Our girls were made aware that free period products are always available in school whenever they are required, and were each given free samples to take home, with further information about menstruation issues to share with their parents. #girlsarepartofballyclarehigh
