The 1stXI played Dalriada in a warm up for their Schools’ Cup semi-final game on Wednesday 13th February. Ballyclare put the pressure on from the start, earning two goals by half time. The first was from player of the match Molly Dougan and the second from Amy McGookin. The third and final goal was a second half penalty stroke, which Rebecca McCullough slotted home to seal a convincing 3-0 win.

The 2AXI drew 1-1 with Dalriada, conceding a goal early in the first half but rallying well to equalise before half time with a goal from Eve Cole. Ballyclare upped the pressure in the second half, but despite many chances to score, the ball just would not find the back of the net. Leah Wilson was player of the match.

The U15 team recorded a good 2-1 win in their league match against Parkhall College during the week. Abbie Gilliland and Rachel Neill scored for Ballyclare, with Lara Norwood named player of the match.

The U14A team were in action against Regent in the quarter-final of the Junior Plate. Rachel Black scored in the first half to put Ballyclare 1-0 up at half time; however, Regent equalised in the second half despite good Ballyclare defence. As the game progressed, further pressure forced a Ballyclare corner which Holly Woodside slapped home to leave the final score a 2-0 win to Ballyclare. Christina Jenkins was player of the match and the girls now move on to the Plate semi-final.

The other junior teams were playing Killicomaine Junior High. An understrength U13A team found them tough opposition and were unfortunate to lose 4-0. Ballyclare fought well throughout and Chloe Moore was player of the match. The U13B team won their match 1-0, with a first half goal from Anna Wylie. Ballyclare worked together well for the whole game and, as a result, the player of the match was awarded to the whole team.
