Match Report: Saturday 21st September v Wallace

The 1stXI were unfortunate to lose 2-0 in their game against Wallace on Saturday; however, Holly Woodside was player of the match in a tight 0-0 draw for the 2AXI. Both sides had their chances, and Ballyclare retained much of the possession, but neither was able to find a goal to break the deadlock.
The 2BXI conceded an early goal to go 1-0 down, before Kelsey Smyth equalised to level the score at half time. Another goal from Kelsey in the second half saw the Ballyclare girls come away with a 2-1 win. Lucy Graham was player of the match. The 3rdXI also recorded a win, beating Wallace 2-0.
The U14A team faced a strong Wallace side and found themselves 1-0 down at half time. A few second half chances were well saved by the Wallace goalkeeper but, countering strongly, the Ballyclare defence found itself under pressure and unfortunately conceded an own goal to leave the final score a 2-0 defeat. Rachel McCann was player of the match.
It was a strong start by the U14B team who found themselves 2-0 up at half time through goals from Katie Butler and Mollie McDowell. This positive play continued in the second half with a second goal for Mollie McDowell. The final score was a convincing 3-0 win; Anna Wylie was player of the match.
A goal from Rebecca Smyth in the second half of the U13A game was enough to secure the win for Ballyclare. Evie McCullagh and Sarah Doherty were joint player of the match.
A quick goal by Evie Moore saw the U13B team 1-0 up in their game at half time. In the second half, despite conceding early, a great goal by Abigail Barr allowed Ballyclare to take a 2-1 lead. A third goal from Susie McBride in the final play of the game sealed a 3-1 win, with Ruth McAuley and Susie McBride joint player of the match.
