Match report: Saturday 17th Dec v Sullivan Upper

The 2AXI recorded a convincing 3-0 win on Saturday, with goals from Leah Baird, Amy McGookin and Eve Cole all scored in the first half. Fay Hunter was player of the match for her excellent work down the left hand side.
The 2BXI recorded a 1-0 victory against Sullivan with Jade Allison scoring the winning goal with five minutes to play. Ballyclare put a lot of pressure on the Sullivan defence and player of the match Kaytlin Meredith-Gault worked hard to prevent several Sullivan counter attacks.
The 3rdXI won 3-1 in their game, while the 1stXI lost 1-0 in a tight contest.
The U14A team won their match against Sullivan on Thursday, with the first goal a lovely deflection from Jen Lamont. A second deflection from Emily Alcorn saw Ballyclare 2-0 up at half time, a score line which would prove decisive with no further goals in the match. Holly Woodside was player of the match for strong and skilful play. The U14B team also won 2-0 in their game on Thursday, with goals from Emma Morton and player of the match Louise Montgomery.
After Sullivan scored first in the U13A encounter, Ballyclare responded well with Rachel Cox knocking in her own rebounded shot from a short corner. It was a tight match, but Erin McCartney scored Ballyclare’s second to give them the win. Rachel McCann was player of the match.
Two goals from player of the match Mollie McDowell put the U13B team 2-0 up against a strong Sullivan side. Although Sullivan did pull one goal back, Ballyclare held on for the win.
The U13C team recorded a 0-0 draw, with the Sullivan goalkeeper saving several good Ballyclare shots on goal, particularly from player of the match Rylee Boyd. Despite lots of the second half pressure, Ballyclare were unable to find the back of the net and the game remained scoreless.
