Match Report: Saturday 12th Jan v Belfast High School

It was a successful morning all round for the Ballyclare girls in their League matches against Belfast High School.

The 1stXI won 4-0, with first half goals from Amy McGookin and Rebecca McCullough and second half scores by Leah Baird and Chloe McNeilly. Molly Dougan was player of the match. The 2ndXI drew 0-0 in their game, as the ball refused to find the back of the net despite some good chances. Abigail Kennedy was player of the match. It was a more positive story for the 2BXI who secured an impressive 4-0 win.

Three first half goals from Emily Green, Abbie Gilliland and Rachel Neill sealed the win for the 3rd XI, and despite some good second half play there were no further goals. Lucy McCammond was player of the match. The U15s drew 0-0 in a tight game in which Abbie Gilliland was player of the match.

The 14As won 4-0, with player of the match Holly Woodside claiming the first goal of the game in the first half. There were two second half goals for Emily Alcorn as well as a second for Holly Woodside. The U14B team also won 4-0, securing an impressive victory.

A convincing 5-0 win for the 13As saw player of the match Tilly Stewart score two first half goals, adding a third in the second half for her hat trick. Erin McCartney added a fourth, before Rachel Cox finished off proceedings with the fifth and final goal. It was a scoreless draw for the U13Bs, with player of the match Rylee Boyd making great defensive clearances to ensure a clean sheet for Ballyclare.
