Good Luck to Ballyclare Rugby Club

Congratulations to our local team Ballyclare Rugby Club’s 1stXV who will play in the Energia All Ireland League Junior Cup Final this Saturday at the Kingspan Stadium.

 

 

The school will be well represented on and off the pitch. Mike McKeever our Director of Rugby in School is also the Coach of this Team with Ricky Lutton a former pupil also.  Aaron Playfair our 1stXV assistant coach at school will also be a starting player.

12 of the starting team are past pupils of the school with 4 of these being former 1stXV School Captains.  Of the 23-man match day squad 18 will be former pupils, what a statistic and what a link.

A fantastic achievement to reach an All Ireland Final and we wish you every success on Saturday.
