Easy Fundraising – A Parent’s Experience

Easy fundraising

As myself a parent of the school could I encourage all you parents, teachers and other friends of the school, to look into this fantastic fundraising facility.

The principle of the Easyfundraising scheme is that a large number of well-known on-line retailers will pay money to the school on the back of your purchases.

You simply pay the same amount to the retailer as you would if you were purchasing items through their on-line site and the retailer pays a commission to the school.

By way of example we recently used Expedia to book a holiday, purchased on-line goods with stores such as Amazon, Boden and John Lewis and on each occasion a rebate was paid to the school at no cost to ourselves.

So how does it work?

You can operate it through a laptop or PC but we operate our account via an app on our telephone and iPad.

When you first download the app, you register your details and nominate the beneficiary for the rebate i.e. Ballyclare High School.

Within the app itself you will see a list of retailers that are affiliated to the scheme e.g.  Amazon, John Lewis, Sports Direct, Boots, Booking.com, Expedia, Boden, M&S, House of Fraser, Argos, Laithwaites to name but a few.

But it gets even better, if the name of the on-line retailer you want to purchase from isn’t listed you may find it actually takes part in the scheme as well. You simply type in the name to a search for retailers facility and it will confirm if the scheme applies to this retailer as well.

The key is to go into on-line app of these retailers through the easyfundraising app.

You then login to your account with the retailer as normal and receive whatever benefits you normally get however in addition the school receives a rebate of some kind directly.

There’s never been a better time to sign up!

As you prepare for the Christmas rush there could not be a better time to think about signing up.

What a fantastic way to support the financial wellbeing of the school at no cost to yourself!

Happy shopping!
