Cooking up a storm

Cookery club has taken a different format this year with students showcasing their culinary skills to chef mentors through The Future Chef competition. The competition is organised by the Springboard Charity which allows students to compete at both local and regional level.
Two students – Emily Gilchrist (Year 10) and Erin McClernon (Year 9) were successful in securing a place at the County Antrim final on Wednesday 11th December. The skill base and talent both girls showcased was fantastic; with Emily securing a place in the Northern Ireland final which will take place on Monday 20th January, 2020 with celebrity judges and a trip to the UK final in London in March up for grabs.
