The GCSE and A level subject choice process has been the focus of the careers department in recent weeks. All Year 10 and 12 pupils have had careers lessons, talks from careers staff and careers advisers and individual career guidance interviews. There have been evening information events for parents and pupils, providing guidance on subject choices from the School and the Ulster University. All of this should enable young people to make informed choices about the subjects which will best suit their individual needs

As they move on to learn about the job application process – CVs, application forms and interviews – Year 12 pupils enjoyed a lively, informative and engaging workshop on employability and interview skills from Jeff Chilton of Birmingham City University on Tuesday 27th February. This forms part of the preparation for their mock interviews in April.
