Good luck to Alex Corr as he joins Rory Best in Monaghan tomorrow to take part in Rory’s fundraising walk for the Cancer Fund for Children. Alex is a member of the Youth Advisory Group for the Cancer Fund for Children and this event was planned to coincide with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September.

Rory’s ambitious trek will see him walk through a number of counties including his home county of Armagh as well as Fermanagh, Leitrim, Sligo, and Mayo, covering 180 miles in a bid to raise over £500,000 for Cancer Fund for Children. £234,075 has already been raised thanks to the generosity of the public, sponsors, local schools, clubs and business. The money raised will be used for the Cancer Fund for Children’s state-of-the-art therapeutic centre , Daisy Lodge in Co Down and to building a second centre on the shores of Lough Corrib in Co Mayo.

Well done everyone involved!
