Ballyclare High School Year 12 pupils taking part in Kindness at Christmas initiative

By Ballyclare High School on 21 November, 2019

This year, Year 12 pupils have been invited to demonstrate care and kindness for others by taking part in our Kindness at Christmas collection for the Simon Community.

The Simon Community is a charity whose number one aim is to end homelessness in Northern Ireland.  We want to encourage pupils to donate items that can be distributed by the Simon Community to those who need them most in the run up to Christmas. These gifts in kind could be warm coats that have sat unused in wardrobes, gloves, warm socks, toiletries or sanitary items, scarves or hats. Donations should be brought to Mrs Hill in room 129 before Friday 29th November to allow ample time for them to be delivered to the Simon Community. These items don’t have to cost a lot, but can make a huge difference to someone who is facing Christmas without a warm home this year.
