Ballyclare High staff and pupils extend their deepest sympathies to the family of Mrs Amanda McManus who was laid to rest this week. Amanda McManus (nee Hall) from Derryree Wood in Lisnaskea, who was aged in her 30s, passed away in hospital last Wednesday.

Amanda taught ICT here in school and was a vibrant, committed member of staff loved by all and who cared deeply for her pupils. She was also involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme and volunteered to better the lives of all the young people she was involved with and was a great friend to staff here.

She left us to marry the love of her life which meant moving back to Enniskillen and taking a teaching post at Enniskillen Royal Grammar School.

Amanda is survived by her husband Frainc, daughters Katie and Charlotte, parents Kenneth and Linda, sisters Wendy and Susan and wider family.
